Almost two months ago we bought a new house. It was a foreclosure and the previous owners did not take care of it. All the carpet was stained with animal urine and dried on gum. I could not believe people lived like this.
After the escrow closed, Tim tore out all of the carpet (0.88 tons to be exact) by himself and hauled it to the dump.
Our next step was to patch the hole in the front door and then paint the door. This was a two person job. We also got new hardware for all the outside doors, 6 to be exact. I am now an expert in installing dead bolts and door handles. Here is the hardware we chose:

Next the demo crew came in and tore out the kitchen and two upstairs bathrooms.

Wow! Congrats on the new house! It will be well worth it in the end when you guys get to relax in the house you designed :-)
